Blag is Back!:)

Blag Linux and gnu by le brixton linux action group, now has Blag 140000 (Spartakus) available. And it's now a Live CD. Blag Linux was my first and favorite Linux Distro of all Time! I started with Blag 5000 and had to move on when Blag 9000's Repositories Disappeared one day. Blag is based on Fedora Linux, so after that I got into building up my own Remixes of Fedora. Fedora comes with just a few Apps on the CD and I always want more, much more. I moved over to Debian for about 2 years after Blag stopped updating their Repos. Since then, I have been back with Fedora 11, 12 and 13 and 14. I'm glad to see that Blag is back up and running again!:) I can definitely use Blag on some of my Older Slower PC's that can't run the newer Fedora Distro's. I tried to download it the other Day (08-08-11) and the Site was down. From the looks of it, on their BLAG Linux and GNU (blag) group at http://identi.ca/group/blag. They have been having some trouble with the Server. Today, the Download Worked and I tried out Blag 140000 (Spartakus). I like it:) It looks allot like the old Blag, with a new Desktop Background. It's been so long since Blag 7, so I really can't remember if the Apps have Changed much. But, blag 140000 has most everything you need to get your computer up and running on Linux. I do remember that Mozilla Icecat is the Default Web Browser and Sylpheed is the e-mail Client. The old Blag CD's use to be install only. So, you had to install Blag to try it out. But now, with it being a Live CD. You can just boot to the CD or Boot the ISO File in Virtual Box, like I did and try it out first. Then go ahead and install Blag. I didn't see exactly what the System Requirements were. But, it ran well in Virtual Box with 512MB of Ram and 64MB of Video Memory in my Virtual Machine. I think I will go ahead and install Blag 140000 (Spartakus) in my old Gateway 500mhz machine and see how it does...

blag 140000 (Spartakus) is out now! There are Live CDs for x86 and x86_64 boxes.
