Introduction
This is a listing of sites that legally offer free books on Health, Fitness & Medicine, for reading and listening (audio).All of these sites listed have content that is legal to distribute. Health/Fitness/Medicine
Search engines provided by the the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM) are placed at the top of this list (rather than alphabetically). Note that MedLine Plus is a portal designed to give the general public ready access to trustworthy health information.MedLine Plus [7] is a great, trustworthy site for general health information, including tutorials, clinical trial updates and the latest news in medicine. You can also find plenty of books [8], including some intended for children.
PubMed Central [9] This search engine covers all the open-access articles [rather than books] available on PubMed, the NLM's main academic portal (where you can also find abstracts from many restricted-access articles).
PubMed Bookshelf [10] is an engine which lets you search for (and then consult) books containing keywords of your choice.
