Hi my name is Don Bishop and this is my “Deal” Today... Basically, anything that interest me. Music, Computers, Software, Apps, Linux OS's - Distros, Space, Science, Auto's, Trucks, 4x4's, Motorcycles and other slightly interesting info that I find on the Web. There may, or may not be, any correlation between my Posts. Just whatever interests me at the time. I hope someone out there finds some of this interesting too!:)
Turn-Key All-in-One Solution (All Operating Systems) For an all-in-one, turn-key solution to build AND host your website, use Intuit's web hosting service. You simply choose a design from over 2,000 professional-designed websites, customize it, easily add your own logo, graphics, text and domain name, and click Post. Your website will then be live for the world to see and you can edit it at anytime. If you're new to building websites, we strongly recommend this system. Download
Microsoft Windows - Zip Version (.zip) The Zip version can be downloaded if you are behind a restrictive firewall which blocks .exe files. The zip file can be extracted to a folder on the desktop once downloaded, and the program can then be launched from within this folder without any installation. This version does not integrate with the windows system shell. Download
Apple Mac Disk Image (.dmg.zip) The Macintosh Disc Image requires Mac OS X 10.1.5 or more recent. Simply download and open the image from the desktop. Drag the application icon into the Application folder under the Macintosh hard drive. This "installs" Nvu on your Mac. Download
Linux and Other Misc. Versions For the Linux and other versions of Nvu, we recommend downloading and installing the KompoZer version of Nvu here.
KompoZer NVU 1.0, released in June 2005, is the last official release that you will find at most download sites, however, it isn't the newest or best version of the Nvu software. An unofficial bugfix/update called "KompoZer" is available here. KompoZer fixes some of the major bugs and annoyances found in Nvu 1.0. If you are using NVU 1.0 and it works for you, stick with it. But if you run into problems, give KompoZer a try and see if it helps.
Source Code The source code for all the different versions is available here. If you'd like to help code on the Nvu project, we suggest building on the KompoZer line.
