I used a fairly long MP3, that I had of me Playing around with my Guitar. To see if I cold make a nice Ringtone from it. I went by how the beginning and ending points sounded and paid only a little attention to the time length. I do have to wonder, if your MP3 really does get uploaded to their App on Their Server though. They say No. But, I saw No Requests from my Firefox Web Browser. Asking for Permission to Run any App. And that almost always happens, when you Run and App that Resides on a Web Site. Either you have to let the Applet Download and Run on your Computer (usually happens automatically, when you click on it and your Web Browser Asks if this is Ok and gives you a warning about Online Safety). Or you have to Upload a file to the Online App Server. So that it can be worked on by the App, on their Server (looks to me like this is what it happening here). It took about 30 Seconds for my audio file to Load in the CutMP3 Online App. And as I mentioned before. I selected a rather large file (88.6MB). To see how long it took to load. Also, I just realized. That I actually used a ".wav" file not an ".mp3". So, it does work with Windows Audio '.wav" files too. Either way. Online or Locally, Via a Downloaded Applet. CutMP3.net, is a pretty handy little App. I put my CutMP3 Audio, together with an old video of my self listening to some music. Just to be able to upload the Audio to Blogger. Blogger only accepts Videos. No MP3's (I tired the MP3 alone, first). Anyway... Oddly, an unexpected Video Artifact. That, just happened for some reason... (I used a very old format, "avi" file). But, the resulting Video Noise. Actually seems to go along with the Guitar Sound:) I was wanting to put a Wav Form Effect, into my video, anyway. So, I like it:)...
I have been using Audio - Video Editing Software since Before MP3's even were invented. I started with Gold Wave in Windows 3.1. And now that I run Fedora Linux, as my main OS. My favorite Audio Editing Software is Audacity, a free, open source, cross-platform software for recording and editing sounds. And it works on Linux and Widows too. Audacity, is good for editing Audio Files and Recoding them too. I find it quick and easy to use. But, this little Online Tool, CutMP3, could be useful. For those times when you are not on your Regular Computer and don't have any Audio Editing Software available. Or if you just don't want to learn how to use Audio Editing Software. All you want it something quick and easy, to shorten an MP3 File. And I wonder... if CutMP3, might just work on a Smart Phone too? As long as the editing window will fit on your Phone or Tablets Web Browser and fits your Screen well enough that you can us it...
