My Cuisinart Coffee Maker DGB-650 is leaving water in the reservoir, after it finishes it's Brew Cycle. It was to the point. That I was sometimes having to run the Brew Cycle, several times. just to make a Whole Pot of Coffee. I know, I have read up on maintaining my Coffee Makers, several times, over the years. I've been using Cuisinart Coffee Makers since 2003. I bought a Cuisinart DGB-600BC, in 2003. It lasted about 5 years, and then began leaking water, out of the bottom. So, I retired it to a Box, in the Garage. Saving it for one, day. When I decide to buy, that special, 10 inch T9 Torx Driver. That is needed to take it apart. I suspect, that there is a hose inside, that I can replace. To get it working right again. The leak, is the only thing, wrong with it. I bought, the Cuisinart DGB-650, in 2012. I has worked well. Except, the lid on the Carafe (Pot). Began to swell shut. During Brewing. And caused big messes, at random intervals. This happened, when the Cuisinart DGB-600BC, was about 1 year old, or so. I tried taking the lid apart and cleaning it. But, this was no help. So, I just started using my old Carafe's Lid. Since, it still works just fine. The old Carafe, has a crack in the Spout, from being dropped on the floor. And it holds a bit more water, than the newer, DGB-600BC version. So, I don't want to risk more over run situations. When Brewing my Coffee, first thing in the morning. I have a hard time remembering things, after a while. But, I had a hunch. That it might help to clean the Coffee Maker, with White Vinegar. Something, I try to do on a regular basis. But, often forget, for a a bit too long. So, I did some Searches on, "Cuisinart Coffee Maker DGB-650 is leaving water in the reservoir". And found some advice, on How To Fix my problem. I found several pages and videos on Cleaning Coffee Makers, with a de-calcification product such as CLR and or White Vinegar. I cleaned my DGB-650 Cuisinart Coffee Maker. With both CLR, which I already had on hand. And with Withe White Vinegar. Which I keep on hand. For Cleaning my Coffee Maker. And then ran clean water, through a Brew Cycle. To Rinse out the Vinegar. I won't know for sure, for a few days, or Brewing Coffee. Since it was working fine, on some days and not on others. But, after Running about 1/3 cup of CLR and the rest water, through. This took about 6 runs, of my Brew Cycle. To get it all to go through, into the Carafe (Pot). And then Running about 1/4 Pot of White Vinegar and the rest water, through. Then a rinse, of clean water, through. It is now Brewing all of the liquid, in one Run. So, here's hoping.
