This steam engine and boiler could be used to power a alternator and charge up a battery bank or to provide electricity for a off grid cabin or house. The boiler is 20" dia. x 42" and 3/8-inch thick. The pop off valve is set at 100 lbs. There are 22 - 1-1/2 inch copper tubes rolled in. They are 24 inches long. It features a flyball governor ,water site glass, a large fire box for wood or coal and a antique brass 3 chime steam whistle. It also includes a steam engine with a 6-inch diameter by 1"-inch steel crank disk, bronze eccentric, cast iron piston and rings, and all moving parts for the engine. The flywheel is 12" diameter by 3" wide. The bore of the engine is 2.75" and the stroke is 4.0". It runs smoothly on very little steam pressure. The overall dimensions are: 80" high to the top of the stack x 24" square at the base. The engine and boiler weigh about 575 lbs. Ash pan and grates are built into the firebox and base. A feature on this boiler is the the blower ring. With the addition of this item, the draft is increased by ten times. The amount of air moving through the fire is amazing. It also includes a large hand pump with a 1-inch stainless ram. This boiler will supply enough steam for a 4-5 Hp. engine.
