TV Video Streaming Boxes and Media PC's

I have been watching the development of TV Set Top Streaming Boxes for a few years now. I'm not really looking for my Self. I'm interested in one for my Mom. I have watched almost all of my TV Programs, from Online Sources, for over a year now. Via a Fedora 14 Linux System, on my old P4 Computer. It's Fairly Easy and Free, to install your favorite Linux Distro on a regular Desktop Computer or Laptop (with the necessary TV out on it's Video Card). Or you could use one of the Ready to go Linux HTPC Distros. Like Xbmc, Geexbox and such. And I use my Home Stereo for the Sound. A Dynaco Preamp, Harman Kardon 100 Watt Amp, two Pairs of Speakers in different sizes and specs and a modest PC 5.1 Sound System. I use the small 5.1 speakers, most of the time. Because the Big Speakers are a bit to loud, even for me. They make a great Sound System, when all run together too. It's all controlled by the Dynaco Preamp - Speaker Selector - Mixer. I like Retro AV Gear. And besides, I can't afford a new setup. Then I just Surf to a Site of my Choosing to Watch Online Video, a TV Show or what ever I want. I use VLC Media Player and Krusader File Manager to find and Click to Play any Videos that I already have on my System. I have the old P4, with 1Gig of Memory (one memory module died and I'm running on 512mb of memory right now). It still works well for watching Video, but it can't keep up with video and a Web Browser at the same time now. I have the Video Resolution Setup just for Watching Video on my TV. But, I can use it on my Computer Monitor any time I like, as well. I would, just use my 23 inch Wide Screen Computer Monitor to Watch TV. But, with my room's size and shape and the furniture that I have. There's just no good way to arrange my Desk and My Bed so that I can see the Screen from both my bed and have room for my Computer Chair too. Yep, I have to be comfortable, in my bed to watch TV Effectively!;) I now watch all of my TV and DVD's on my TV or Computer Monitor. I have an old TV, so I just set the Text Size Big enough to be able to read it on my TV. I have a second USB mouse and key board close to where I sit - lie to watch TV and I'm good to go. I do have an old Pinnacle PCTV5 TV Tuner/Video Capture Card. It's an Analog TV Tuner and Capture Card. I also have a newer Mygica ATSC HD TV Stick (HD) TV Tuner. The ATSC Tuner only works on Windows OS's, though. I forgot to check, in May of 2011, when I bought the Mygica ATSC HD TV Stick. To make sure that it had a Linux Driver. And it's now 11-16-12 and were Still Waiting!:( Somehow I don't think that this Driver is really on it's way... More on that here, (http://donsdeals.blogspot.com/2011/03/dons-mygica-atsc-hd-tv-stick-linux.html). They both have Remotes that came with them. But, I don't like using a Remote to Control my Media Apps on a Computer. The Apps that come with the Tuners are Slow and Hard to Navigate. They run on Flash:(... And forget about Typing with a Remote or using a Web Browser!:O If I got a TV Set Top Streaming Box. I would want one with a Wireless Keyboard, for sure. And I think that my Mom would like that better too. Here are some Videos that I found on the Boxee Box and Roku. Two of the Set Top Streaming Boxes that Interest me...

I thought those videos gave a pretty good run down on Boxee and Roku. So, rather than go on and on rehashing all that I have found over the years on TV Set Top Boxes. I am just going to Post some Links to what I have previously found and  written about them below...
