Hi sir... I have the same desktop . recently I tried to install Ubuntu alongside windows 10, during installation I gave efi for boot option for Ubuntu . since after then it says no operating system...
I believe I had the same Problem. When I tried using UEFI Secure Boot. When I had Win 7 and installed Fedora Linux on my Lenovo M91p with an Intel i5 CPU. I turned off UEFI in BIOS and it worked just fine. I don't remember the exact wording in the Lenovo BIOS. They often use terms, like Boot to Legacy BIOS etc. Here's some goog info I found on Installing Ubuntu in UEFI mode, ( https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UEFI#Installing_Ubuntu_in_UEFI_mode ) If this doesn't work. Leave UEFI turned off and Reinstall your preferred Linux Distro. Personally, I don't like Ubuntu. Since 2005, when I got into Linux. It has always had Bugs in the software updates system. And you constantly have to fix it in the Command Line. Ubuntu is Bloated, with Software running in the background. Which uses too many resources. I don't think that the
Lenovo i5 I have. With 4Gig of Ram, 256MB of onboard Video Memory. Would run Ubuntu well. I'm running Fedora 28 on mine and it runs well enough. I'm sure it would run even better on Debian. But, I like Fedora the best of all the Linux Distro's I have used. Also, I don't like Ubuntu putting adds and popups in the Desktop Software. And Tracking what I do on my Desktop Computer. Not to mention, in the Web Browser. Ubuntu is built on Debian Linux. I like Debian. It is very light weight and works well. I run it on my older Computers. This is all, assuming... That you didn't have any install errors. When installing the Grub Boot Loader. If Grub is broken. You may be able to fix Grub. By using a Live Boot Rescue System. Like Rescatux ( https://www.supergrubdisk.org/rescatux/ ) Or Boot-repair-disk ( https://sourceforge.net/p/boot-repair-cd/home/Home/ ). Also, Super GRUB2 Disk helps you to boot into most any Operating System (OS) even if you cannot boot into it by normal means ( https://www.supergrubdisk.org/super-grub2-disk/ ). This will enable you to get into Windows or Linux. To use your applications, until you can fix the Boot Problems... Don
