1932 Ford V8 Promotional Film - Video Shows, everything about the 1932 Ford V8 Cars, Trucks and Vans, form how the motor is designed, to the Frame and Body, the Tires and Wheels

I've loved old Cars, ever since I can remember. When I was little. My Dad, had an old 1920's or 30's Chevrolet. In the Back Yard. I'm pretty sure, it was a Chevy, anyway. Because, I remember, it had wood supports, in the Body. It was tall and more square, than a 1932 Body Style. I was so young. I can't remember all of it's details. Dad, had big plans to rebuild that old car. It was all original. He had started his restoration. And was replacing the Roof. Which was originally cloth, I believe. With wooden support rails. Sadly, my Dad died, of Cancer. When I was four years old, in about 1962. So, he never got the chance, to restore that car. I loved to play in the car and pretend that I was driving. I soon saw his vision, for the car. At four or five years old. And started dreaming of, one day. Fixing it up my self. I had plenty of time. Before I was of Driving Age too... But, my relatives, somehow talked my Mom. Into, selling the car to my Dad's Cousin. My second Cousin. He did get it running, though. And one time. He drove it, back down to Fort Worth, from Wichita Falls, where he lived. And gave me a ride in the car. That was, so cool. Actually getting to take a ride, in that car!:) I had a Hand Crank Starter and it was Hard to Start. But, that sealed the deal, for me. I have loved old cars and trucks, ever since. He, ended up selling the car. It was just too much work for him. So, I never saw it again. But, I did do a few projects of my own. As a Teenager. My first Car, was a 1962 Buick Invicta. I paid $160 for that car. It had a 445 Wild Cat Big Block Engine and an Auto Transmission. It would do 120mph, all day long. Or well, until, there was a curve in the Road. Jacksboro Hwy 199. Voted, one of the Most Dangerous Highways in the US. Back in the 70's. I have no idea, why;) I could do that last turn, before the Lake Worth Bridge, at 90mph. And yes, tires really did squeal, like in the Movies and TV. When going that fast on a Curve... My next Car, after I got hit trying to Cross Jacksboro Hwy. Which, completely caved in the Drivers Door. So, that it fell off. My next car. Was a 1964 Chevelle. It was my Second Cousins, Dads Car. It was a 4 door. And I was told, that it had a V8 Motor. But, when I got to Wichita Falls, to look at the Car. It only had a Straight Six! But, since my Grand Parents were buying me the car. And I didn't want to be ungrateful. I got the car. It was a good car. But, I wanted a Hot Rod. So, I ended up having a guy, put in a used 350 V8. It was only a 2bbl Carbed Engine. But, it made that Chevelle run pretty fast. But, I wanted a Big Block 454 Chevelle. And I wanted a 2 door. I couldn't afford a 32 Coupe. And Chevelle's were cheap, back then, in 72. I bought a 76 Chevelle Body. And was going to put a 454 in it and build my own Hot Rod. I didn't care much for the 64 Chevelle, by that time. So, I let my self get swindled into trading my 350 Engine. For a 302 Small Block and a Set of Side Pipes. I never even got the Side Pipes... I planned on selling the Chevelle. And using the money, for the Parts, to build my 67 Chevelle Hot Rod. But, it was hard to find a buyer for the Chevelle, with that Dog 302 Small Block in it. I ended up trading the Chevelle for a 1970 Impala, with a... You Guessed it... 454 Big Block, in it. But, the Impala. Had set with the hood off and no Air Cleaner on the Carburetor. So, Rain water, got in the Engine. Not having much experience, with this sort of thing. I thought, well I'm going to Rebuild the 454, anyway. So, I did the Deal, with this lying cheating old guy. Who, of course, came on like a nice of man... I should of know. Just by the look in his wife's eyes, when I was looking at the car... So, when I got the 454 apart. Which was some task. I had to soak, those Pistons, in Transmission Fluid and WD-40 for about a Week. I took the Block to a Machine Shop. And had them do a Magniflux Test on it and the Heads. This Test, shows if there are any cracks, in the Metal. By, Magnetizing the Parts. And then Sprinkling tiny shards of Steel on them. The Block was ok. But, the Heads were Trash. I had beat up the Rods and Pistons, quite a bit. Trying to get the Pistons out, too. So, all, that I had, left, that was usable to me. Was the Block. Seeing, that I wanted to build a Hot Rod, with Big Horse Power. But, in the same Time Period. I had fallen madly in love, with a girl. And I wanted to get married. I was 17 and she was 15, when we met. But, the Parents, were against it... By the time I turned 18 and she was 17. I decided, that we needed to leave TX and find a State, where we could get Married. So, I bought a 1964 Chevy Panel Truck. With the money, that my Mom had helped my Borrow from the Bank. It had a Straight Six and Standard Trans. I just couldn't seem to turn down a deal on an old Straight Six. They were much cheaper, than V8 Cars and Trucks. And we set out, to go get Married. I wanted to go to Colorado. I wanted to live in the Mountains. But, I blew that old Six up. Trying to Mount Pisgah in CO. It threw a Rod Cap. Straight through the Block. So, I had to call home, and ask for money. I wanted Mom to ship my 454 to me, there in CO. And I would build it and put it in there. In front of the Gas Station. We were living in the Panel Truck, in front of Skelly Gas Station and Towing. Near, Colorado Springs, I believe. Between the Bigger Towns, anyway. Of course, we couldn't stay there that long. It was very nice of the owner, to even let us stay there. Free of charge, for a couple of weeks. And I didn't have the tools, money or real know how. To actually build an Engine, outdoors. While living in the Vehicle... My Mom, didn't have the money, to help me, either. So, my Grand Parents. Came to the Rescue, again. What would I have done, without my Family?... I bought another Straight Six, from a Junk Yard. And the Owner of the Gas Station. Went and got it. And used his Wrecker. To pull the old Motor. And to drop the new, slightly used, Motor in the Truck. He, was actually impress. At how quickly, I and m girl friend. Got that Motor hooked back up and got the Truck Running, again. I had him, but the old blown motor, in the Back of the Panel Truck. I thought I might need it for Parts. That new Motor, Smoked... Allot... After I grew up and was utterly tired of that old Smoking, Standard Shift, Straight Six. I put that 454 Engine and a Turbo 400 Auto Transmission, in that 1964 Chevy Panel Truck. And dove it for several years, in the 70' and 80's. I finally got to Rebuild that 454. I had the Block Machined. And bought some new Pistons for it. And used the old Rods, after all. I had also bought, a 1962 Impala Station Wagon. With a 396 Big Block. I actually ran pretty well. Smoked just a Bit. But, all I wanted was, that Big Block, for Parts. I had the Heads Machined and put them on my 454. I didn't think a 396, was quite Big Enough, for me. But, after a few years. Using those old Rods, was a Big Mistake. The Engine, Spun a Rod Bearing! During those Days. I bought a a 1970SS Chevelle too. I got it for $800!:) It was the Fastest Car, that I had ever had. I was just the 350HP Model, with a Bench Seat. But, it would out run most of the other Hot Rods, of the day. Well, except that Cowl Induction 454 Chevelle. That I raced, one night. I worked on that Chevelle, allot. I was always breaking stuff. From Hot Rodding it around Town. I had moved to Wichita Falls, at that time too. But, my Second Cousin, who bought the old Chevy. Had moved away by then. So, no Car Talk, with him. I ended up bending the Frame on the 70 Chevelle. When Rat Racing a Buddy, through the Neighborhood. I was following my Buddy, through the twists and turns. And my Breaks got Hot. He knew where he was going and I had never done this Rat Racing thing Before... I could get up to 70mph, in one block. And I really wanted to Pass Him up and show him. Just how fat my Car was! But, that last turn, was a T-Intersection. And I just couldn't make it. I ended up. Running over a Storm Drain and in the front yard of a very nice old Lady. She, didn't even make me pay for the damage, to her lawn. Or press Charges. Yes, the police, did show up. I was, supposed to come back and fill in the Tire Tracks in her yard, that I had made, with some Dirt. But, I was so Embarrassed, by the whole thing. I didn't have the nerve to ask my Boss. If I could use the Company Truck, to haul some Dirt to that. If the nice Lady, were still with us. I would like to apologize to her, to this day... So, After Bending my frame and forever ruining the driving and handling of my Chevelle. I turned my attention back to my Panel Truck. When that Rod Bearing Spun, in the Trucks 454. I pulled the Engine, out of the Chevelle. And put it in the Panel Truck. I had moved back to Azle, TX, by that time. And I did, the whole job, in my Moms Driveway. Over one Weekend, in 30 degree Weather!:O I had to have something to drive to work, on Monday. I had bought a Mobile Home, in Wichita Falls. And then moved it back home, by that time. But, I lived in a Trailer Park, then and had no Place to work on Cars. That, was one fast Panel Truck, though:) I later Sold my beloved 64 Panel Truck. To get the money, for a Down Payment on Some Land. So, I gave her up, for a Place of my own. I had a few other Cars and Trucks, over the years. But, not much, that seem worth mentioning here. Well, there was the 1972 3/4 Ton Chevy Van. That I took the motor out and had it rebuilt. And I replaced the Standard Trans With a Turbo 350 Auto Trans. That was a good Van. Before that, I had a brand Brand New 1980 Chevy Cargo Van. With a straight Six. I was going to Customize the Interior. And make it a nice Camper - Good Times Van. But, I had to sell it, when times go rough. I always wanted to Customize the interiors of those Vans. But, never go around to it. I spent most of my spare time, working on the mechanical stuff. Then, in 1992, I bought my 1976 Chevy Blazer 4x4. With a 350 4bbl engine and a Turbo 350 Auto Trans. I had allot of fun Off Roading in that Blazer. And spent way to much money on Broken Parts and Big Tires, over the years. I had the motor Rebuilt, soon after I got it. Actually, I had the motor from the 1972 Chevy Van Rebuilt and put in the Blazer. And saved the Blazer's 350, for the Van. I didn't do all of that work my self. I had tired of always laying around under a Vehicle and eating Dirt and Grease. I was making good money, in those days. So, I had the Azle High Schools, Auto Mechanics Class, do the Work. I went to School there too. And wanted to give the kids something cooler to work on. Than those, Teachers Cars. The kids did seem to like working on my Trucks. When I took them in. They asked me all kinds of questions and seemed actually excited about the it. I had them take the motor out of the Van. The Teacher knew a good Machine Shop. And he sent it there, to be rebuilt. They got the Blazer finished, just before the School Year Ended. But, they didn't get the Blazers motor, put in the Van. So, I had a Van with the motor setting in the back, after that. I never did get that motor put, back in the Van. And ended up selling it to a Neighbor. I still have the Blazer, and it's what I drive, to this day. I have another Van now, too. My uncle gave me a 1983 Dodge Good Times Van, a few years ago. It needs some work. It runs good and the interior is in very good shape. But, the motor smokes. I think it's the Valve Guide Seals. And the Electrical, needs allot of work, too. Well, how did it know... That when I told my uncle, How to use a piece of Aluminum Foil. To make an emergency Fuse. By wrapping it around a Blown Fuse. That he would leave them in there and Burn up half of the Wiring in the Van!:O I told him, to be very careful and not leave them in there, for a long time... He did the same thing, to his Dodge Conversion Van, Motor Home too... He, was a good guy. He's has since Passed On. And I am very grateful, to him. For, giving me one of my dreams. The Good Times Van. Now, if I can just get all of the work done, that I would like to do, to these Trucks. I can't afford to have the work done, these days... So, even though. I have always really been a Chevy Guy. The Video Below. Shows, everything about the 1932 Ford V8 Cars, Trucks and Vans. That I never knew. Everything, form how the motor is designed, to the Frame and Body, the tires, wheels, everything. It's a 30 minute, video. And well worth every minute of my time to watch it.

I'm Putting in links to my Playlists, of Hot Rod Cars, Trucks, Boats, 4x4's and Off Road Videos, that I have found on YouTube, over the years, too.
Check out the related Links and Video links too...
