Here's a good How To Video. On, making an Adjustable Wooden Vice or "Clamp". He uses Plywood, glued together. I think I wold use 2"x6" or 2"x4"s for mine. I like the Eye Bolt, he uses for the tightening rod. Simple and looks like it works great! Check the related links too...
