Augmenting Human Vision With Polarimetric Cameras - Construction of Imaging Polarimetric Cameras for Humanitarian Demining by David Prutchi - YouTube Videos and info links

Here's an interesting video. On the Construction of Imaging Polarimetric Cameras for Humanitarian Demining, by David Prutchi. "The human eye can see brightness and color of light, but there's a third property of light waves we can't see - polarity. Bees, cuttlefish, and other animals can see polarity and use this additional sense to find flowers and prey. With some off-the-shelf electronics, humans can do the same to find landmines, cancerous tissue, and an entire world hidden in plain sight. In this talk, David Prutchi goes over the construction of a cheap polarimetric camera built using a Raspberry Pi, a hobby servo, and polarizing film."
