I've used Calibre, on and off. Since about 2005. I don't have an eBook Reader. So, I've never really used it allot. But, I've always thought. Calibre is a good App and very full of features. So much so. That I never really figured out allot of what it can do. Today, I was doing a duplicate file search on my Backup Drive, with Anti Twin. A Duplicate File Finder and Manager for Windows. I use it through my Network. To find and remove Duplicate Files on all of my systems. Windows and Linux too. Calibre is on my Fedora Linux Systems. I don't know if there is a Windows version or not. But, anyway.... I found a bunch of duplicate files, in my Calibre Library Folder. And I didn't remember, how I had Calibre Setup. If it was making backups of all of my Documents or what... So, I got to digging around in Calibre. After a while. I went to the Web Site and watch the Grand Tour Video. It was allot of help. I discovered allot about Calibre. And realized, what a useful and powerful App, it is. Even, just for use on you PC. I didn't find any Auto Backup Settings in Calibre. So, I guess, I had Imported my Whole Documents and maybe even my Downloads Folder too. At some point. I don't remember. Calibre, had made eBooks, out of many my Saved PDF and HTML Files and Pages. For the most Part, they are well organized and easy to brows through, in Calibre. Though, the HTML Pages. Requires you to open up the Zip file, that Calibre made. And then open up the HTML File in you Web Browser to view it. Not, a big deal. Unless you were reading through allot of files. In a hurry. In that case. I would prefer. Just looking through my saved HTML Files, in Krusader File Manager. That's how I do it. And one click, opens them right up in my Web Browser. There may be a way to setup Calibre, to do a one click open on HTML files. But, I didn't see it today. PDF Files do open up, with one click, though. And I imagine, eBook files would too. If I had an eBook Reader. Transferring and Syncing eBook Files, with a reader looks to be very easy, in the Video. As for my Duplicate file issue. I may, just keep mine. It's good to have an organized Backup, of important info files. Mine add up to a bit over 3GB. I just moved my Backup of Calibre Library to another Drive, that has more space on it.
