Rootkit infection requires Windows reinstall, says Microsoft - Computerworld

I think, something like this one (Trojan:Win32/Popureb.E) is what I got on my WinXP System. I can't remember the name of the one I had now... There are ways to restore your MBR with Linux Apps on Boot CD's like Parted Magic, System Rescue CD and many more... And I did that, several times. But I still couldn't get XP to run right. I got it going a couple of time's and it just crashed again. After I reinstalled XP on that drive, it Crashed again twice!:) So, I finally Put Fusion 14 on that Drive, a Fedora Remix. And then Put WinXP on another Drive. It is running fine now, but I haven't messed with it much yet either...

Interesting info on a ne Root Kit out there...
