iFrame The European Web Tablet
March 19th, 2009It seems that every major voice in the tech Blogosphere has at one time or another called for a Web-enabled tablet PC that would give us the capability for full mobile touch-computing, saving us the need to carry around that pesky keyboard. In the post iPhone world it's easy to imagine how a tablet could be very popular, we iPhone users love to touch the Internet, a bigger platform seems a natural evolution and the guys at TechCrunch seem to want one so bad that they've actually built one. Others constantly predict that any day now Apple will announce the "iPod Touch HD".
In all this hoopla one tiny European start-up called AND:mobile has actually built a full functional touch-tablet, with a full Internet browser and an applications platform, the tablet is called iFrame. They are planning on licensing their technology to major OEMs to bring their tablet to the consumer market. At Seedcamp Paris I met Oliver Seres the founder and CEO of AND:mobile, to talk about the tablet PC and being a European entrepreneur. See the full interview below.
